What this website collects

The request form. If you request a seat we collect your name, work email, dealership or group, role and the DMS you use. We use it to reply to you and to decide whether and when to offer the beta. We do not use it for advertising, and we do not sell it.

Questions you ask Goose. Goose is the chat on this site's pages. The text of a question, and the few messages before it in the same chat, are sent to Anthropic, the company that runs the language model behind Goose, so that an answer can be written. Anthropic handles that text under its own terms and privacy policy. We do not ask for personal or customer details and you should not type any. We do not keep a record of your chats. If the model is not available, Goose answers from a fixed list of facts instead and nothing leaves the site.

Ordinary request data. Like any website, the servers that deliver these pages see your IP address, browser type and the pages requested. That is used to run and protect the site.

Cookies and tracking. These pages set no cookies and run no advertising or analytics trackers. The typefaces are served from this site, so your browser does not contact any font provider.

Who handles it for us

• Vercel hosts the website.
• Resend delivers the request form to our team by email.
• Anthropic writes Goose's answers when the model is on.

They handle information only to provide those services to us.

What the product does with a dealership's information

This section is for dealerships, and for people whose information a dealership keeps in DealerCockpit. When a store uses the product, the store decides what goes in it, typically deals, customer names and contact details, vehicles, trade-ins, repair orders and the notes and documents around them. The dealership is responsible for that information and for having the right to use it. We handle it on the dealership's behalf, to run the product, and for no other purpose.

• Kept apart. Each dealership's information is kept in its own database, separate from every other store's.
• Never writes to your DMS. Where a dealership has DMS API access, the product can read from the DMS so less is typed twice. It does not write back to the DMS.
• Access by role. What a person can see and do is set by their department and level. Money figures such as gross are hidden from people who are not permitted to see them.
• Passwords. Passwords are stored only as salted hashes, never in readable form. Sign-in sessions expire.
• A record of changes. Changes to deals and settings are written to an audit log that shows who changed what.
• Alerts go to the people who need them. Notifications reach the people on a deal, not the whole store, and the content stays inside the product, including on a locked phone if that person has turned alerts on.

No system is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise. If we learn of a problem that affects a dealership's information we will tell that dealership.

How long we keep things

Request-form details are kept until you ask us to delete them or we no longer need them to follow up. A dealership's information stays for as long as the store uses the product, and the store sets how long history such as the audit log is kept. When a store leaves, we work with it on returning and deleting its information.

Your choices

You can ask us what we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. If your information is in a dealership's DealerCockpit, the dealership is the right first contact, and we will help it respond. Depending on where you live you may have additional rights under local law, and we will honor them. To make a request, write to hello@dealercockpit.app.

Children

The website and the product are for dealership staff. They are not directed at children.

Changes

If we change this page in a way that matters, we will change the date at the top and, for dealerships that use the product, tell them directly.
